MID-SOUTH FOR ABOLITION IS ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN THE COMMUNITY FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE!
Popularized during the U.S. government's involvement in Vietnam, teach-ins are seminars on complicated current political affairs, without a specific time limit to discussion or strict academic scope. MS4A hosts teach-ins focusing on the affects of policing and the goals of abolition.
Police Abolition is a complex political activist movement. A solid understanding of the history of policing, abolition and current socioeconomics is critical for meaningful progressive change. MS4A facilitates an internal political education program for its members.
The main focus of of MS4A is police abolition but the intersectionality of social inequity requires collaboration among activist groups of many social justice focuses. Freedom cannot be obtained singularly or within ideological silos. Therefore MS4A participates in a number of activist programs.
